Here I am, I think it's time to try small-run production

When I started out building I would run off 3 or 4 bikes at a time, all the same. Kind of quit doing that, concentrating on individual customers. But now I'm in Portland with a shitload of material and some really well-designed frames, I think I'll take a shot at 5-at-a-time. I'm looking at TIG welders, of course. I got some time on my hands while my leg heals up, so I think I'll take a shot at finding an outlet next. Thought I would do a hipster race-about and a full-on city bike for openers.

I got to add "Made in Portland, Oregon" to my current decal order at SSSink.

When you say that you are "...looking at TIG welders..." do you mean that you are looking at purchasing a TIG welding machine or looking for people (welders) to TIG weld your bikes?

I sent off a check to a guy who was selling a Lincoln v205-T outfit on the framebuilders list. It looked barely used! So I guess I meant the hardware. But if the thing works out, and the bikes just fly out the door, I'll probably hire help.

When I started out in Window Rock, I used to build multiples, especially the BMX and Dual Slalom bikes.
