    Default Generic Noob Questions

Okay so I searched for the a generic thread of noob questions and didn't find one. I hope nobody minds me starting one.

I want to ultra lightweight helicopter with a mix of stainless and ti but I've never made a single frame can I use a mapp gas torch from the auto parts store...just kidding.

Okay real question. I forgot to order bottle bosses when I ordered a tube sets. I've am just about to braze my front triangle together should I:

    A) drill for the bottle bosses and complete the front triangle, built it up and feel safe riding this FSO until my next order arrives with some bottle bosses and then silver them in. Perhaps slap some duct tape over the holes to keep water out as it's spring here on the coastal rainforest of North Vancouver. The bike is an mtb.

    B) Built the bike without drilling. Then beg borrow or steal a drill that is able to squeeze into the front triangle to put in the holes for the bosses, or maybe drill undersized holes at an angle then open them up to size on plane with a file.

    C) Go sit in the penalty box and feel shame while I wait for my next Nova order to arrive with more tubes and bits. This will take a couple weeks as I won't be ordering till earliest next week and shipments seem to be routed via horse and buggy when shipping to Canada.

Option A is a bad idea. Put them in later, but don't drill holes in the middle of your down tube that will be ridden unsupported.

Option C (less the shame) would be my vote.

if we are adding our own choices, I suggest you probably should practice more so waiting for parts is ok.

Heretical, I know, but you can drill after the thing is completed. But you should probably practice more and wait for the parts

    Option D it is.

This is a practice practice frame anyway, I don't see it actually being on dirt more than a month before it gets hung up in the rafters.

I've got three tube sets on hand to work through and practice on...just no stupid bottle bosses :)
