    Default BikeCad on a MacBook

    Hi all,

I'm sure I could ask Brent at BikeCad, but thought I would seek some real world feedback. I'm laptop shopping, and highly considering a MacBook Pro (waiting for the 2016 release to make a final decision). For those who use a Mac or MacBook with BikeCad software, how has your experience been? I use BikeCad on my current laptop (an outdated HP), but my laptop is lacking power/graphics/etc and BikeCad can be a bit slow. Overall, I love the software, but really want to invest in a laptop that can handle BikeCad a little better.

    Thanks for any feedback!

up until recently, I was using it on a pretty slow linux machine and it worked well. I don't think I've ever noticed lag using bikecad. I find it hard to believe that you would have lag with any modern machine, but maybe I'm not the one to speak to that.

It is working great on my new macbook pro. There was an operator error when I was transferring files from my ten year old HP and I had to re-download the software but it was quickly resolved. I'm very happy with the computer and the software and as I'm sure you know, Brent is a class act when it comes to customer support.

I have a 2013 iMac w/ i5 processor and 8gb ram and Bikecad runs without hiccup on it. Depending on how old your laptop is, a new solid state drive and increased ram can really speed things up.
