I've had the itch to see what it would take to make this conversion happen because I have a box full of Paragon PFBB30 shells. So I grabbed a PFBB30 lugged BB that I made for a project for myself and decided to give a shot. First I reamed and faced the BB. Then I got to work with the taps and Park Tool handles, a whole lot of oil, and a little bit of elbow grease. Surprisingly, everything went really really well and it wasn't nearly as difficult as I feared. I suppose we could debate the pros and cons of doing it this way, but I would call this a success for my needs. The White Industries BB was easily installed by hand.

I bet this would be a breeze on an aluminum bike.
