    Contact them and say so.

I posted a message on their FB page and sent an email as well. The thrust of my message was that I believe the market will bear whatever price increase is necessary for that division to become profitable and that they're in a perfect position to find out. They've announced the dissolution of the bicycle division but they're still making product and have all of the ancillary organs in place; what a perfect time to market test the response to whatever price hike is necessary!

My understanding from everything I've read so far, is not that it's not profitable from making their current range but to invest into new machinery to develop and make new tubes to meet the changing steel landscape is not worth it to them. There will always be the traditional builder needing the range already produced but I can see an emerging group of builders who are wanting to push steel to it's limit with new shapes etc. I don't think TT want to buy into that. That's how I've read the comments from interested parties anyway.

Word from the inside is that bike tubes were less them 2% of gross.

I bet they can't wait to see it gone.

Everyone is lucky they agreed to not just shut the doors on the last Friday of the month & call it a day.
