Default inevitable buy back from vw

so, they will buy back the 2.0 diesels sold in the usa.

the plot thickens, for how much?

was obvious from the get go that a software upgrade would not fix this problem.
they have dilly dallied around in the meantime hoping for anything.

4 billion Euros was the budget I heard at the last meeting, I work for a tier 1 supplier into VW

A quick google says its 4 times that ,not sure if this is based on exchange rate

Yet, VW will have a profitable 2018 year. Any bets?

Possibly they just took 3.2 million Euros of work back from us so if they are doing this with all suppliers, maybe they will make money

the play here is to buy some real shit box diesel that will be covered.
keep it until the arrangement is made.
has to be valued on kbb or something like that.

you may end up with $8k for a car that cost you $500.

remember the Toyota pick up buy back? rusted frames?
I know a guy who got $14k for a truck he was ready to sell to a junk yard.
there are a few requirements... will make it interesting.

have to imagine the first requirement is ownership back in 2015 at least.
