Default Iggy Pop and Josh Homme Releasing Collaborative LP "Post Pop Depression"

I know and listen to QoTSA more than I know "Mr Pop" (as the NYT calls him), and they're close to the top of my list of current harder rock bands, but however you look at it, this is good news.

That's pretty cool. I've been a QOTSA fan since Songs for the Deaf came out, and have seen them every time they've come through SF. I've never seen Iggy Pop live so this will be a good remedy.

Iggy Pop is a Genius. .. Maybe the best Rock songwriter. He is extremely intelligent while his songs are always down to earth. Iggy is radical as anyone can be but never pretentious. Never ever.

I saw Mr. Pop walking down the street about a block from my house. He looked pretty much like the above photo except that he had dark glasses and a heavily worn leather bag thrown over his shoulder. I looked up, saw him and knew it was him. He looked at me and said "Hey man" in classic Iggy voice. I said hey back. No one else - and it was busy so there were a lot of people around - even blinked.

    Fucking stone cold cool.

I've never lived in NYC (although years ago my sister lived in Brooklyn) and we've all heard the horror stories and the hassles, but this sort of incident is definitely one of the things that makes NY a cool place.

How many people knew that David Bowie lived in NY? For the last 20 years or so. A mega-star, yet just another dude (or Duke) walking down the street.

this rules. i've loved all of josh holmes' projects and most of everything Iggy Stooge has done, As anyone who knows me know, I love Kyuss and I've always been a fan of Queens and Eagles of Deathmetal.

The ten volumes of music he did with the Desert Sessions are fucking amazing. If this project is half as good as a Desert Session with Iggy would be- we're going to be in for a treat.

iggy pop is obviously a legend, but same for josh holme, the amount of different music styles this man has made i find quit impressive

Josh Homme changes and collaborates all the time. His taste for drummers is the most refined. He is smart.
