    Default Adventure Roadie build

I need a bit of advice on sizing for my next build.

As an mtb guy I have no clue on how to properly size myself for a road bike.

These bikes I know, road bikes I am clueless.

Anyone have any objections to me using an online fit tool to get somewhere close to the numbers I need?

Thinking of using this. Bike Fit Calculator | Find Your Bike Size | Competitive Cyclist

Want to recreate something like this. https://www.norco.com/bikes/road/adv.../search-steel/

I have a Slant Six lugset and 9-6-9 tubeset from Nova on hand to get started.

This project has been collection dust for too long. I put in about 175km commuting the last two weeks on an old poor fitting mountain bike and it's spurred me to get this project going.

You may well find that the different online fit calculators give significantly different results. So ensure you know what kind of fit you want (or better, need) and understand what your chosen calculator is intended to achieve.

Of course, you can also design on a bit of scope to adjust the final fit.

Go out and test ride a BUNCH of bikes, then copy the one you like best.

Throw some drop bars on your MTB and see how it feels. Use the Competitive Cyclist numbers to give you a rough guide on what your saddle to bar length will be, and buy a stem for your MTB that will replicate that fit. Try a few different stem lengths and angles to figure out what works. You've already got your saddle height figured out, so once you've figured out where the bars go, design your frame around that.
