Rich's frame came back: I got the chainring clearance wrong so badly it threw the BB cups out of alignment.

Mistake

Two problems: I was a little overenthusiastic in ensuring the BB junction was strong and stiff enough, there are about ten layers of composite here. I calculated that I wouldn't need a CS dimple. WRONG.

Cut it back and added a dimple:
