Josh, true story, I borrowed my boss's Nikon dslr in 2000 to take pictures at a 9:30 Club show. I had my elbows on the stage shooting with a 50mm lens until the bouncer tapped me and told me I had to leave with my "pro" camera. So I walked out to my car to ditch the camera and you can guess what happened next: when I left the show later the driver's side window was smashed out and the camera and lens were gone. The worst part was I didn't have a jacket nor my girlfriend at the time now wifey and the 1.5 hour drive home was brutally cold. Sadly this was commonplace for the club's just not in a good area to not have surveillance or officers watching surrounding blocks.
