Default you can now 3d print your carbon bits

World’s First Carbon Fiber 3D Printer Announced, The Mark One - 3DPrint.com

didn't know wether to post this in the OT section or here but as the younger set move into trying different things for making their frames(back in my day that was drugs and sex) it might feature here

its not the most advanced way of doing it nor do i think its in the same league as the top placed or 3d printed ones that exist but its a desktop solution and shows just how hard the push is for this technology

IT looks like a cnc pre-preg thread layer to me. That has been possible for quite a while even if not in a cool little package. Check this out for a big version , I saw the first one and it is really cool.

ummm,,,wow. This makes me wish I was a lot smarter than I am. To be able to think up and then actually bring stuff like this to life has to be one of the greatest gifts anyone can have.

    Thank you for sharing this.

I understand the consensus in Somali refugee camps is that additive manufacturing is bullshit.

You just added $5k to my startup costs.

I'm currently cooking up a method of joining my tubes with internal CF "lugs". This looks like a good way of fabricating said parts.
