polished 559 rims?

anybody got a lead on where one might find a set of these? have a touring frame at the painter, basically an LHT copy for a fellow sufferer of the napoleonic complex, designed around 26" wheels. i know cr-18s came polished in this size for a long time, but apparently not anymore. otherwise it looks like i'm either gonna polished a set of brushed ones myself, give up on that aesthetic, or last resort run it 650b (there's more than enough clearance to easily do this... 'cept for the obvious standover sacrifice).

any thoughts appreciated.

Velocity Blunt comes in 559 polished. Maybe wider than you are looking for though.

Alex Adventurers are a pretty awesome rim for the price and come in a silver anodized finish in both 32 and 36h. Mavic's full range of touring rims are also available in silver anodized...these and the Alex be a good match for that sort of bike.

Velocity A23 is available in 559 and the new silver is a polished finish. These aren't really suitable for touring though.

All of these are rim-brake since you didn't specify disc.

Velocity has a local polishing guy now. I'm not sure if the eyeletted rims are on the menu, but the guys there made it sound like they could send pretty much anything his way for the shiny shiny treatement. Give them an email and they can get what you want in the queue.
