Just in case you've begun the process of rejiggering your two-step verification and entering new passwords and resetting your mail servers etc. - wait a bit. Evidence on the Interwebs suggests that Google is having an issue of some major or minor proportions this morning (04/17/13,) though they aren't admitting to anything. Yet.

I blame North Korea.

I was just Googling the issue after my Thunderbird account refused to log in. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

I can log in online just fine, though. Strange.

Seems like it might be affecting people who have activated two-step verification but possibly just those who log-in through clients (Outlook, Entourage, Mail, etc.) Not sure though.

I've got two different Gmail accounts and one of them is refusing my password when Mail tries to retrieve new mail, but I can log in on the browser.

Something going on. Gmail and Yahoo are both having sign-on issues. They appear to be intermittent but still there. Gmail has been up and down for the last half hour. Yahoo down about the same time now appears to be fully functional.
