    Default Overnight Seafood?

My wife and I often have fresh lobster on Valentine's Day. This year finds us living 300 miles from the place where I usually get seafood, and there's nothing good locally.

I'm thinking about trying one of the companies that will ship fresh seafood overnight. Have any of you guys tried it? If so, any companies that are good? Any to stay away from? Are there some fish or shellfish that travel better than others?

Dunno where you live...but here in Boston, these guys have been at it for almost a century.

Thanks for the links, guys. I'll check them out. The other option would be to just take Thursday morning off and go catch some walleye myself.

Good thought. Any suggestions for a good place that will ship them to Minnesota by Thursday?

Thanks for all the good feedback, and I'll file it away for the future. I ended up tracking down some nice fresh yellowfin steaks a reasonable drive away, so I didn't have to go the overnight route. I shoveled out my grill and heated it to 500, brushed the fish in the Test Kitchen mustard/honey/vinegar sauce, and seared for 1.5 minutes on each side. I was really happy with the result.
