Oops. Should’ve measured twice! DT is about 0.125” short. Replace it or keep building?

For you? Braze it. For someone giving you money? Recut.

Plenty of surface area there IMO.

use it on the next slightly smaller frame you build.

Have you looked inside the BB shell of many of the high end steel bikes from the 80's or 90's? Many of those don't look as good as your mistake.

You could always sleeve on an extended section. Then you could claim a custom tripple butted DT... Andy.

On my 1988 Schwinn prelude, they just square cut the tubes and pushed them into the shell as far as possible without interfering with the bottom bracket threads. There was no attempt made to shape the ends of the tubes to the inside of the shell.

Have you cut the HT to length yet? If not, adjust the frame drop measurement by 2mm or so, and the DT miter will hit on a lower point, thus making the cut length shorter (which you already have). OR simply drop the DT miter/lower HT confluence until it hits the mark using the DT length you have. OR do all that and change the stack height of the fork blades. OR...

The small error shown in that image can be easily worked around, no matter who gets the frame OR if it's sold at full-pop retail atmo.
