Weekend in Portland, OR?

For the local crowd, I'm looking for a hotel recommendation, restaurants and cultural outings. My wife and I ~60ish are looking to stay the weekend of January 5-6, or 11-12. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Not local but a Portland fan. I suggest refining your desires to get more useful input. Too many options for the vagueness of you original post.

Downtown ? Near downtown ? Budget is a major variable and will help defne your options. Preferences, boutique, pets ? Bringing bikes ?

Did you happen to run a VGoogleista search? It's in the upper left-hand corner of the screen up there, right below the menu bars.

I'll do some leg work for you. I ran a search for "Portland" and "Portland hotel" and here's a few good hits. Check out some of the info in these and other threads, and then perhaps take the conversation forward from there. Helps us keep the threads tightened up a bit.
