    Default Poor Company Slogans

For some time I've wondered about "Service is our main concern" printed on my dry cleaner's clothes hangers. I'm not sure 'concern' was the best choice of words.

Today on the way in I saw one that may be worse. I think it was a moving company, printed in big letters on the truck was "Your Last Mile Is Our First Priority".

I don't know if I feel comfortable about that.

I worked for UPS when they came out with "What can Brown do for you?". Everyone thought it was horrible.

How about the butcher shop that had printed on their sign, "You might beat our prices, but you can't beat our meat!"

Septic service companies are great for funny and/or unfortunate slogans....I saw a septic service truck recently with an inscription painted on it, "Here goes another load of politician's promises"........and I remember seeing one that said, 'In our business a good flush beats a full house"....

Big time chef in Calgary opens a new restaurant incorporating his last name, Noble, into the name of the place... NOtaBLE. All I see is No Table or Not Able, both bad things for a restaurant. Food is definitely not notable.

Not a slogan per se, but one of my colleagues has a contact that always gives him great one liners, like "money loves silence." Yeah, I don't get understand it either.

That's funny, because there's a British cycling clothing line whose slogan is "Beyond all means." :)

My father actually owned a butcher shop, until about 6 months ago. "No one can beat Steve's meat", that was honestly his slogan.. If i could figure out how to scan a flyer i would.. We have a septic company here, there slogan is " your #2 is our #1"

I abhor all slogans/taglines that begin with the word "Be"

    Like "Be 7up."

WTF does that mean? Work harder ad agencies and earn your damn money.

I saw a contractor vehicle that said
"We may not be the best but we're better than the rest"
If your better than the rest, doesn't that make you the best? I need my kitchen redone and i have already eliminated one contractor from the running.

i just remembered. When i was a kid, there was two old guys that had a pick up truck and a few lawn maintenance items in that truck. On the side of the truck it said, "We mow lawns and shit", this would have been in the early 80's.. I am not sure you could get away with that now..

Lombard Hardwoods: "If it ain't hard, it ain't Lombard!"

One of my favorites (hey I don't own but I do have a lot of respect for Toyota) Toyota Care logo.
It's very similar to the logo for "Friends don't let friends drive drunk". The Toyota logo is a hand dropping a key into another hand. Friends don't let friends drive Toyotas?

Once, on the way to a bike race outside of Jackson, TN, I passed a sign that read "BJ's Personal Touch Party Services." A lot of event planning going on in that part of the state?
    Got some cash
    Bought some wheels
    Took it out
    'Cross the fields
    Lost Control
    Hit a wall
    But we're alright
