Wurstsalat
Good things about Wurstsalat:
1. It goes well with beer. Traditionally paired with Hefeweizen.
2. All ingredients can be sourced at 24 hr convenience store, gas station or bachelor refrigerator.
3. It’s German, simultaneously sophisticated and fattening.
4. It can be made in under 5 minutes using only the bowl you will serve it in.
5. Lowish on the carbs if that is your thing.
Ingredients:
8 oz package of bologna
4 dill pickles
¼ cup mayonaise
1 teaspoon of mustard (anything but the hot-dog kind)
½ yellow onion
1 Tablespoon of white vinegar
Directions:
Cut bologna slices in half and slice into noodle-like strips.
Dice onion and pickle into smallish chunks
Mix bologna, onion, pickle, mayonaise, vinegar and mustard together
Eat with soft bread
