Llewellyn is in Brisbane iirc. Hope all of you Brisbaners are safe and on high ground.

E-mailed with Dazza earlier today - says he's on high ground and out of harms way, and that Mary Ann is three hours north and save as well.

Thoughts to all you Brisbaners in what looks to be a devastating situation.

It's looking pretty wild up there. The Brisbane CBD is going under. The floods are supposed to peak tomorrow.

I've got family two streets back from the Brisbane River in Chelmer and they apparently already hald half a metre in there house this morning.

Best wishes to all those who are affected.

Not in Brisbane, but 3 1/2 hours south. Our local river also flooding so couldn't get into the shop today, probably locked out till Saturday as river peaks tomorrow. Shop and house out of harms way so will be getting some framebuilding done in home workshop.

Ginger is safe and dry in Maryborough where she works during the week
the town has been cut off for some days now
Google Toowoomba to see some out of this world flash floods!
Google Lockyer valley to see how quick the water came and no one had a chance to get out. It was a wall.
    Poor sods!
For me here, I am high and dry and no local effects, I got home from the Aussie road nationals last night to a dry but musty smelling house as we have been away for three weeks
and the rain has not stopped for a few months now, with the last three weeks of constant rain.
We got through the last day of the Aussie titles in heavy rain
and now they also have floods in Victoria
    Shocking state of affairs.
Two years ago we were in a ten year drought
    bush fires
and over in the south of Western Australia they still have drought.
    hard times for some !
    Cheers Dazza
