I just brazed some plug style dropouts and was thinking about this stuff. I was using fillet pro and Stainless Light flux. It's obvious that I had to do a lot more work getting the wire to flow inside the tube than I would have had to use with the paste.
Eric,
I would probably not use Fillet Pro as a 1st choice for a "plug in"joint as usually the gap is already an interference fit and the Fillet Pro is 38% Ag and won't flow as well as a 56% AG. Freddy or his supplier has the paste in the higher silver ratio and that would probably be just fine for that application..

these were Paragons and I had to turn them a little to make them fit. There was enough slop at the crown end that I wanted something that would fill. It flowed out fine. Not sure that I would use the drops again, but it's my rain bike and they seemed perfect for that application. I can't believe I ever used a set of drops with lawyer lips though.
