    Default French Picnic Bike

    Hello!

Just wanted to share pics of a bike I recently finished for my wife. French picnic bike: Columbus Brain tubes, lugged construction. Brooks leather saddle and matching leather handlebar grips. Sturmey Archer internally geared 8-speed hub. Internal drum brakes front and rear. Custom cast silver fleur-de-lis head tube badge. Leather wine bottle holder draped from the top-tube. Stainless-steel kick-stand mounting plate. Our dog rides in a basket on the front rack! The head tube lugs which I bought had no matching seat lug, so I cut one to match from a blank lug. Enjoy!

Lovely! Very nicely finished and with a great colour scheme. Did you do the racks yourself as well?

I just started the build on a very similar frame for my future wife. We are even doing a mint green/cream frame, polished wheels and brown leather saddle/grips!

Thank you! The racks are Velo Orange. Palmer Pro Bike (Palmer MASS) did the frame alignment. NORPIN (Wilbraham MASS) did the powder coating.
