A bloodbath is the last thing I would advocate. The UK appears to be making their decision without a bloodbath. I have no opinion on their choice. I am not British. It’s their business.

I do have close ties to Switzerland, a much smaller nation, but one which is not part of the European Union. Instead, they have made agreements with Europe to strengthen ties and security while maintaining more autonomy over their own internal affairs. I kind of like that.

BTW, I’m not totally hopeless either. If we are going to have a Union I do believe in the Constitution and laws and proper investment in education and infrastructure and the other aspects of being a nation. That said, I’ve said more than enough. One of my goals for 2020 was less commentary on politics on this forum. And so far that’s serving everyone quite well.

Yes if you look closely at the picture of the 16 year old girl, she definitely is a girl. If the 16 year old's gender was male i would have said '.....16 year old boys...'
