Moved into the new, 100 year-old house this week! Very excited, even though surrounded by a sea of boxes and haven't yet found some important stuff that's packed away somewhere...

And yesterday was my last official day of paid employment (for the next year). It was really nice to be out last week using my final vacation days since they did not want to pay me for them.
The next 12 months will be about studying, acquiring a master's degree, and getting my health back with lots of ride time.
No good news for a month? Is everyone okay?
Today is Friday and tomorrow I'll be driving our crew of four to the CX Worlds in Valkenburg. Should be a great weekend of racing!
I brought donuts to work today. I'm everyone's favorite engineer this morning. And I have 12 weeks of work remaining before I leave to do whatever with the rest of my life.

Got the cat2 upgrade on the track. Time to get to business.
I'm headed to Athens, Ohio early tomorrow morning with my youngest son for an overnight visit with his brother...Sibs weekend as the school promotes it. They'll be plenty of food, chatter and brother time, with a Bobcat hockey game thrown in for good luck. This is their last Sibs weekend at OU, as the youngest is headed off to college in the Fall and his brother is headed off to Optometry School in Bloomington. I'm really looking forward to the time with them and I'm really happy to be a part of it all.

Jason Kelce tells everyone to suck it:
"As an homage to the EPOdays of yore- I'd find the world's last remaining pair of 40cm ergonomic drop bars.....i think everyone who ever liked those handlebars in that shape and in that width is either dead of a drug overdose, works in the Schaerbeek mattress factory now and weighs 300 pounds or is Dr. Davey Bruylandts...who for all I know is doing both of those things." - Jerk

It's Friday!!!!!! Been a crazy busy week. I've got nearly 50hrs at the day job this week even with taking a half day to attend a funeral. Plus another 10ish doing SWW stuff (building wheels / preparing for Middle GA Epic and Thomasville Classic). Looking forward to the weekend, even though I'll be back in the office on Sunday. But, tomorrow we're going to my folks for our baby shower, looking forward to seeing everyone.
Hoping to convince my wife to watch Hell or High Water tonight. Great flick.

Why do people feel the need to list all of their bikes in their signature?
I’ll join in a day early, year end bonuses arrived today. Company had a great year and shared some of the wealth. I was truly amazed and grateful.

Average California school district gets around $10,900 per student. The National Average for this statistic is ~$12,200. To supplement California School districts implement a parcel tax which has to be renewed every 10 years. We live in arguably the best school district in Marin County which means we are the best of the best. Because of the rising cost of pensions there was a strong opposition. This taxes requires a 2/3 or super majority approval by the voters. After a very hard fought and nasty battle-- threats and dirty laundry were aired out online on community sites like NextDoor. We won the parcel tax by about 3% or 95 votes. I personally canvassed over 200 residences and we live in freaking hilly area. Our spend per student is around $14,500 and will remain. I am very happy we got this win.
