In light of the recent cyber scams and phishing emails, my company has ratcheted up the internet security in the office.

I get a nice message saying 'Website blocked, category: forums and message boards' when I try to access VSalon.

In other news, I've had a productive week at work.

I think so but I'll try that again on Monday when I'm back in the office to see if that works. It's bit frustrating because I often use 'forums and message boards' to research how to do things in the systems I work with.

That's a sign that it's time for a new car. There are plenty of people here ready to advise.

I don't have anything serious to complain about but as a person who spends a ridiculous amount of time in restaurants and especially hotel restaurants it drives me nuts when some guy (it's usually a guy and is the hotel or food & beverage manager and is wearing some shitty polyester suit) hovers around my table to ask me if everything is OK just as I stuff my face with their mediocre food and my face is quite deliberately buried in my computer (I see them hovering my peripheral vision, hoping they notice that I'm concentrating on V-Salon threads) and all I can muster is a look that says, "Get the eff away from here".

People who write run-on sentences piss me off too.

Finally, the hate speech in this country that leads to wannabe assassins shooting representatives officials actually pisses me off. Enough with hate speech. We must be better than that.

Sorry, we live in a global community and what Trump does impacts on the rest of the world, whether it's sabre rattling in Nth Korea or thumbing his nose at climate change initiatives.
