^ Nice work Dave! I remember you being worried about your son finding himself before he joined the Corps. Now he's an Ivy Leaguer with the world wide open in front of him.

hey, how lucky can one man get.
Trust me Bob when I say I had little to do with his success. The kid bootstrapped himself, moved to Manhattan, getting into Columbia with his tuition paid by the USMC. He had an offer from the State Dept but apparently Trump's shenanigans stopped that. So now he's got a paid internship with the Defence Intelligence Agency for the summer. It will be very interesting to see where he goes in the future.
Before and after pics!

Middle daughter graduates from high school next week, party is this weekend. So excited to see her kick ass in college. She's driven, has a goal, wish I would have been that way in school.
Having two in college, on the other hand, will be discussed next Thursday in the gripes section.
Number 2 son, and last kid, is graduating from Northfield Mt. Hermon tomorrow. The school's been fantastic for him, and he's going to Oberlin in the fall. I'm super proud and stoked.
Now that his lacrosse season is over, the crew team is drafting him back for championships the following Saturday, so I get to go to one more high school regatta.
I got in 180 miles commuting this week, which is the first time this year.
I wasn't able to go to the Jean Michel-Jarre concert last night, so the wife surprised me by getting tickets to Radio City Music Hall to see him. Quick road trip is just what I needed.

The weather has finally decided spring is here, and I've got the ride I'm hosting on Sunday. Shorts! Just praying that everyone gets through it without injury. Looking forward to the burgers post-ride!

I left for work this morning as my landscaper was preparing for the delivery of dozens of bushes and trees. Goodbye to the Yard O'Mulch we've lived with for the last year!
GO!
Meant to post this last week, but the past few weeks have been rather kind to me. Graduated with my masters and walked across the stage having secured full time employment with an awesome company doing more or less exactly what I want to be doing.
About to miss celebrating my daughter's birthday with her for the first time since she was halfway around the world.
But we're texting frequently and she wants me to win the Hamilton ticket lottery so I have to meet her on Broadway tonight. Don't know what her boyfriend would think of that. She claims he'd be fine with it...
I love my kid.
GO!
4 day weekend>3 day weekend. 25 mile early ride and roadside BBQ for lunch. If you look close you will see ribs, brisket and tips served with beans and down home greens. IMG_2582.jpgIMG_2582.jpg

Garro is starting my bike. Actually he's building the wheels so he can make the fork so he can make the frame. But he's making stuff for me. That and The Boy was elected student body president. And I'm getting a new bike.

I still can't really ride because I've been sick for weeks (see the bitching thread), but I've got a bunch of bike projects in the works, which will keep me entertained for at least a year.
After about 15 to 20 rejection letters from various companies..
FUCK YEAH. I passed the aptitude test with an above average score.

Our youngest just finished his Junior year of high school, our middle one just finished his Junior year of college and our oldest is halfway through her Masters program. Whoa...our kids are getting older and smarter but I don't seem to be gaining ground in either category...
