I drove a 1951 chevy for almost 10 years as my primary vehicle. The stories, meeting people and adventures which happen when you commit to and create a story are genuinely priceless.

Tman, that Ferd is fantastic said the Chevy guy. The pickup is the business, love it. These late to the party "ratrods" are annoying mostly. That's the real deal. I'm a huge fan of T buckets.
New business. The Silverado is gone welcome Mr. T. Black paint with sparkely blue bits. These Tundra V8s are legendary, I'm expecting to have this a looooong time. Line-X and a hard tonneau cover incoming than I'm all set for road trips.

Thanks TooTall. MY new daily is going to be a 51 GMC pickup. I took my 2000 Ranger to 262,000 miles and let it go. Working slowly on the GMC. For a couple years I drove my 54 Chevy sedan with Yakima rack quite a bit. And yes, rat rods are nothing more than shite art cars with odd crap welded (poorly) to them.

Nice Joe. What tires is that rig running? they look pretty versatile. I just got back from a couple days in Moab myself, and it's wranglers as far as the eye can see with an Isuzu Amigo or two sprinkled in every now and then.

It's the stock tires which are BFG Mud Terrains. I hear they are bad in the snow but they have been good so far in the two storms I had them in. Plus they look cool, which is really what sold me on it. I am already debating snow tires for next winter... do I go studded duratrac or studded hakkapelita? Duratrac will have good deep snow performance and might be good on ice. The hakka will be great on ice , but just ok in deep powder.

Speaking of Amigo's I saw two Isuzu VehiCrosses while there. Which is two more than I have seen in the last decade.

I agree, it looks like the perfect set-up if you've got no particular place to be and are in no hurry to get there.

Nahtnoj, good words. Not to stray too far off topic. During my southern transcontinentals I was in love with all the small towns way far off the interstate. Great people, easy accomodations blah blah.

Axles at least have been beefed up; I'd be willing to bet there's more than a Dauntless V-6 backing it up and you could drive that equipe anywhere. Nice work by the owner making the whole deal sit level, too. A buddy of mine restored and polished up an old Airstream but his Audi is a little overwhelmed by it.
