Get the hearing tested by an audiologist. Usually covered by insurance. Then check out Costco. Not the fanciest on the planet, but solid, middle of the road units at good prices.

Go straight to the hearing aid companies. Find a rep in your area. They are more familiar with programs that allow people to match costs to ability to pay.
