All dress up in my new clothes for a dry ride on my bike sans fenders, and lo, it rains.

Thanksgiving dinner is always at my inlaws' place (my folks live outside the US) and it's always the same bland cardboardy food. Small stakes, but I'm grumpy.
They're making my job distasteful. Other senior's retiring, I'm taking over group administration. HR stuff sucks. Good but enigmatic tech sort of kind of takes all December off with one day quiet notice because they didn't enter time sheet for ten days of vacation earlier this year thus showed a lot more hours than they have coming and I had to call them on it. Thing is they're good and when they work they work around the clock. But by the letter of HR policy I have to be the asshole.
And my boss sends me a note asking me to 'rank the team'. Oh yeah, I love this stuff.
Nobody told me I had to work for my money. I'm not adjusting to it well.
Finally tracked down why the family Honda is running so poorly. Something somehow wound up in the fuel tank along with actual fuel. Repairs could be worse than dropping the tank to flush it out. There is that. Hopefully I'll be posting tomorrow that the odyssey drives like new but u til then I'm grumpy.
I have six guys in Manila/Luzon. Shit's about to get interesting.
Insubordinate. And Churlish.
The level of shadiness in cheating coaches for 6-7 year old soccer. And the first practice hasn't even taken place.
Auk's words to live by:
Blow up and pin a picture of M. Bartoli on your wall. When you achieve that position, stop. Until then, stretch, ride, stretch, ride, eat less, and ride more.
It warmed up into the low 40's, and now it's raining. The frost heaves on the trails and gravel have gone soft. It's like riding through wet concrete (though cleaner).
I want summer back. Hard to think that I was slightly overdressed in arm & knee warmers just two weeks ago.

Crashed my bike in the rain going over railroad tracks. A tow truck was double parked and I had to cross them to go around, then bam! Nothing major, just scrapes and bruises and a rear wheel slightly out of true, but still.

Damned Dog. She's great and all, loyal as anything. But the garbage, do you have to go tear up the garbage and pull it all over the house? I mean really.
1. Cameras, laptop and back-up drives were stolen.
2. Lost teaching gig for S2015. (Shit happens, I'm an adjunct.) Application materials + portfolio? Oh they're on my back up drive . . . . .
3. Time to re-make + re-scan 10 years of work.
4. There's 6 years of relationship in there.
5. I was definitely not ready for this.

This is a day late but yesterday morning I damaged the tendons in my right wrist. I was up to 150 pushups a day. FAIL !!! Now maybe on my knuckles.
Tomorrow would have been my brothers 44 birthday.
