Careful though, a certain consumer magazine says the ride will break your teeth and compress your spinal cord. Seriously, they said that.

-Both of my kids fell asleep in the back seat of one on Saturday. No signs of broken teeth or a spine injury. Huh.

In the local paper was an ad for a 73 Volvo 1800 Es wagon, supposed to be clean, runs and drives well $7900. With Twins in College I'm out of the market but if someone here is interested send me a PM or E-mail and I'll get you the contact info. I'm happy to stop and take pictures, test drive and the like. Cool car, on my wish list but not for a few more years. Frank

I live in Davenport IA, in the ad it says the car was originally from the Seattle WA area before coming here.

What model did you get? Made any modifications? The only thing I have planned are rally armor mudflaps and a mild window tint.

I'm reeeally hoping the dealership gets their truck in early enough that they can prep it and I can pick it up tomorrow. Knowing it's there and I can't get it till Monday would be just about too much!

I have a regular model WRX, 6 speed with the short throw and homelink mirror. (Seems to be standard options here)
Still need to get mine tinted, but I haven't had time. All I've done is a stealth mount hitch and tossed my Kuat bike rack on the back.

As an aside the guitarist for ttt used to keep sharp at a local club back in the day.

    Thx boss.

Long back-story here but the nut-shell version is that it's been in my family since my folks bought it in 1995 (it's a '93). It's got 360k on it but engine/tranny/birfields/etc/etc have <100k on them...ready for another 300k. :-)

Yes 360k! My folks bought it 19 years ago with 35k miles on it.

Like I said earlier my old-man went through it with a fine tooth comb for my sister when she started driving it 5 years ago. She is moving to California for work at the end of the month and it won't pass CA smog (engine was from a 97...plus some emissions stuff may or may not have fallen off during the swap) and she wanted something with better mileage out there so she just picked up a '09 Mazda 3...I was happy to pay what she wanted for Brutus (it's been called that as long as I can remember).

    That's nice, but irrelevant.

I suppose you think the car just dies after the charge is depleted. Guess what - so does yours.
