I think it'd be easier to get a 100% in my class than fail like this. I mean, why even show up? Aren't there better things? Huffing Elmer's Glue? And yes, I talked to him over and over and over.
... and the softy in me is worried about his home life.

Lightening this morning at 5:30 when I woke up to ride.
A cold that is either slowly going away, or progressing slowly, I can't really tell - but it's annoying.
I'm sure I'll come up with more in a bit. I'm just waking up...
Auk's words to live by:
Blow up and pin a picture of M. Bartoli on your wall. When you achieve that position, stop. Until then, stretch, ride, stretch, ride, eat less, and ride more.
It's not Friday.
Oh and I can't slow down and CFS is sucking the life out of me.

I cant open my mouth today without a fight. It's like I married an alien.
you're a good person. I'm sure there is plenty to worry about wrt the home life issues, but we need to fix that as a society, it's really hard to improve any given situation in isolation. As a person who had some really uneven efforts as a student, that would really drive me crazy
But anyway, I love this song for some reason
Fabregas signing for Chelsea. TIA.
2014 has been mostly bullshit so far.

I still don't have a properly functioning front door and I've lived in this house for almost a year. And my new roof has a leak.

Why are New York's airports such an unbelievable shit show? Yesterday we were flying the absurdly short leg from Philadelphia to Newark (how does this flight even exist, seriously?) and we got stuck with a delay of 1:41 after getting off the gate in PHL.
Then when we landed in Newark it took 20-25 minutes to move the last 200 feet to the gate because our gate was blocked by three aircraft, which were themselves blocked by the overwhelming congestion of the airport. All the while, we're all burning fuel that costs several dollars per gallon and burning it at a rate that would make most people shriek in rage if they paid those bills.
This is supposed to be America's greatest city and while I can't fault the city for the most part as the airports are run by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and they have to live within their own means, the lack of ability to improve infrastructure is maddening.
Nobody wants to spend any money to make it better because that will cost, literally billions of dollars, but they're OK spending more than that thousands of dollars at a time apparently because all those hundreds of cancelled flights and delays and missed connections and lost productivity and increased crew costs (I'm paid by the minute....) are accounted for closer to now.
This country needs infrastructure improvements desperately, especially in the nation's large east coast cities and we have a political climate whereby anyone who suggests improvements that cost money is referred to in toxic terms of givers and takers.
New York has six airports (ISP, SWF, HPN, LGA, JFK and EWR) with commercial airline service. It barely works on the best of days and then when a cloud forms it's total pandemonium with delays and cancellations costing millions of dollars and thousands of person hours.
Without going off on too much of a tangent, this nation needs adult conversations on things like infrastructure and yes, that costs money.
Other parts of the world known by the offensive term 'Third World' often have the best airports and infrastructure. We can surely do better in this nation. I'm certain the Salonistas within 50 miles of New York and who use any of New York's many airports would agree with this.
Carry on.
La Cheeserie!
I made the mistake of getting "avocado" on my "veggie Delight at subway. It was a green substance , but I'm not certain it was actually made from avocados, or that it was even an organic compound.

Oh, also .. the "Veggie Delight" used to come with two whole pieces of cheese. Now it comes with only one, measily, stinking slice of thin, cheap cheese folded in half. Not even enough for a little mouse! What a rip!
my daughter warned me about the avocado, so I lucked out on that. Have come to realize that there is some kind of fake rice (probably made from real rice somehow) that is served on fast food. Amazingly enough, it is still possible to screw it up which is how it came to my notice.
exhausted because lack of sleep, it's my own fault. i even procrastinate there.
ive been having trouble breathing for the past week and a half or so, probably because of allergies, but im too stubborn/proud to use my inhaler for the first time in 3 years because that means im not as healthy as i thought. im 24 with "the lungs of a 35 year old" according to the peak flow meter this spring, that's apparently the best i've ever been.
my core strength is absolute shit. slowly leaning back from a sitting up position makes my body tremble something fierce.
shoulder surgery date = september 10th. projected 85% success rate due to my tissue laxity.
boston rental prices have left me pretty fucking stressed for $, looking forward to the respite in cincinnati.
no food in the house.
Jesus, you can do that in like 40 minutes on the train. Stoopid. I feel for you as a pilot, but the passengers deserve what they get. Flying to NY from Philadelphia or DC should be illegal., but then Amtrak would have to get better, and Union Station is bursting at the seams.
"As an homage to the EPOdays of yore- I'd find the world's last remaining pair of 40cm ergonomic drop bars.....i think everyone who ever liked those handlebars in that shape and in that width is either dead of a drug overdose, works in the Schaerbeek mattress factory now and weighs 300 pounds or is Dr. Davey Bruylandts...who for all I know is doing both of those things." - Jerk
One time I was in BWI and they announced the arrival of a flight from Dulles. A bunch of us were heading home after being in Gaithersburg for work over one weekend and one of our guys said that must have been why the Beltway was so bad on the way over, the plane was blocking all the lanes.
