NYC floorspace needed
I'm(basically on a dare) heading down to NYC 10/17-19 (Thurs-Sat) to pick up some messenger shifts(trial by fire) and paint some walls in the new shop.
I know fuck-all people in The City(the people I seem to know have all recently expatriated).
I won't smell that bad, promise.
compensation:
If you have a trainer at your house, I'll give ya a free kitche bike fit!
I'm serious here. Plz don't make me sleep in my car!

Re: NYC floorspace needed
It is Brooklyn and my apartment has two doors total, including the one to the bathroom, but let me know if no one else offers a space.

Re: NYC floorspace needed
Lukasz, do you use an armoire?

Is this a obscure Seinfeld reference?
Suspectdevice, none of my business BUT you do plan to deface some "open art" spaces yes?

No, he said he had two doors, one leading to the bathroom. I assumed the other led outside (fair enough, this may not be right for a NYC apartment). So no closet doors. Hence, "armoire?" Also, I'm generally very interested in the furnishings of V-salon members. Have I told you about D-CT's sideboard?

Nah, now I have a much less effed-up Honda Fit.
I just vaccumed it out, so maybe I'm good to go!

Re: NYC floorspace needed
I didn't count the door leading to the hallway, nor my (lacking) closet space. Sheesh!
I bet I could live in one of your fancy tents and be quite comfortable, christian ;)

Re: NYC floorspace needed
Consider leaving the car with someone who'll take care of it for a few days and find another way to get here. Or get a steering wheel lock, locking lug nuts, and make a big obvious show of removing everything of value from it. And even then, good luck.

Eh come on, we've had a decade of Herr Bloomberg and Reichsfurer Kelly. As long as he doesn't park it in East New York the worst he'll get is some dings on his bumper. I'd be more worried about the 5-0 busting his balls for sleeping in his car.
I still make sure nothing of value is visible but that's just old new york paranoia. My girlfriend left her window open overnight on our block a few years ago and all that disappeared from amongst a plethora of stuff was an old GPS device. I guess the thief did not find her musical taste appealing.

Big thanks to the bearded bike-shop people of Buhwick for their hospitality this evening.
