Default almost in Boston. Anybody wanna?

Yea, i am going to be in Boston this week. I am good at riding bicycles, drinking beer and fucking off. So if you are available, i have a pocket full of cash, a debit card for bail, a van, booze, a bicycle. Get the picture.? I need to ride so that advice would be nice, as far as local routes.

If you got info, PM me. I have been to Boston several times, but, "i am just a small town boy, living in this lonely world"

As of now i am in beautiful Pottsville, PA but tomorrow is a different story.

So I guess you aren't racing Chattanooga this weekend?

Nah, I wish. Unfortunately, i missed Knoxville and will miss Chattanooga. Bummed, but i am on the hook this same week every year, for the same gig. Shit sucks, but the other 50ish weeks out of the year i am pretty open. The things we do for family, or at least in-laws. Oh Well, CX is just 3 weeks away.

you can probably connect with a ride from the ride studio in lexington.. which is close by. try one of the harvard ( town ) rides.

Steve, don't forget Arlington, where cars hate cyclists even though the road is 10 lanes wide.

I do early morning rides on Tuesday and Thursday. Cx practice on Wednesday. All starting from Boston. Gotta wake the roosters before riding though, so if you're not a morning person, probably not your first choice.

You never call, you never write...

    Rowdy,

Another option is to head a little south to Milton. South is probably the direction that gets you out of the city the fastest. And you can follow the waterfront much of the way!

Rides leave from there at 6 and 6:30 every weekday morning: Club Rides and we like guests.

Hey I just googled Courtyard Marriott, and there's one downtown on Tremont and one on Boston Street in Southie. If you're in the second one, you might want to walk down the block to the little workshop at 117 Boston St. You are literally around the corner from Firefly.

Staying at the Boston st. Hotel. I will walk down to firefly fo' sho' today.

Group ride looks good. It says they leave from gazebo how far is that from hotel? Is there a path along waterway? Or just head south?

Riding, food/drink and scenery. That pretty much sums it up.

Got an old school paper map. I am doing research. I am guessing gazebo is at blue hill res.? Doesn't look too far.

An easy option I suggest to out-of-towners. The (John) Allis loop. Ride up along the Charles River from downtown out to Watertown, (scenic, relaxed warmup) then head over to Waverly Sq. in Belmont to Belmont Wheelworks. Ride starts there. It's all easier to find then it may look. Let me know if you need fine-tuned directions, etc.. And..why haven't you invited me to meet for drinks at the Union Oyster House, fucker? I'm over in the Longwood Med area.

I thought you said Brooks' lawn, and were living in a bivy somewhere outside Harvard square. I am going to figure when to make it down there. Or come to Boston, the weeks on me..

Sorry, I thought there was a map on the site. It's simple:

    1. Turn right on Boston St, quick left on Howell, and right on Dorchester Ave ("Dot Ave") at the end of the block.
    2. Follow Dot Ave until you leave the city, about 4 miles. First thing in the morning this main artery will be quiet. But it's still city riding - enjoy!
    3. After you go down to the river and start the small climb, bear right onto Randolph Ave (the middle street).
    4. At the second light, at the Milton Academy sign, turn right onto Centre St.
    5. Town Hall and the gazebo are after the 5-way intersection, on the right.
    GO!
