I am really very sorry to have to report this, I really am.
Lululemon apparently made their new black yoga pants out of very old bike shorts, is forced to recall them, it affects their stock price because investors are now paying close attention to their bottom line.

They should just make invisible/see through yoga pants.

Only if you can filter who is able to purchase them. I don't want to see through the pants of most people sporting the yoga-look, at least here in DC.

I thought investors liked transparency in the bottom line.

LuLuLemon Transparent Pants
My wife says that many of the women at her spinning studio (a place called SoulCycle) are perplexed by the Lululemon transparent pants recall. They thought that the semi-transparency was a feature, not a defect. Seriously. Even to the point where they have been buying up as many of the semi-transparent versions of the Lululemon pants as they can before they all get recalled. So while this seems like a cautionary tale for clothing manufacturers, I think Lululemon is actually doing it wrong. Women wear this stuff because (surprise!) it makes their ass look good. Compression and range of movement are just side-benefits. Lululemon should take all the semi-transparent pants and mark them up as the next big thing in exercise wear. Or sell them to American Apparel. Everything American Apparel sells is semi-transparent. Instant stock rebound, you know? They can hire Chase as their recovery consultant. He'll get them set straight.

Re: LuLuLemon Transparent Pants
this whole thing could have been cooked up by a publicist.

they are just looking for free content most of the time.

Jorn, the VGoogleista function. Use it please buddy. You're three days late on this one.
I like this thread title better, though, so we'll keep it. Merged.

I'm not sure if this is something we can't talk enough about, or something we should never talk about.

Re: LuLuLemon Transparent Pants
This needs pictures! We need to be able to determine the transparency level.

So what's the benefit of semi-transperency? I'm assuming those that know that their clothing is see-through try to wear something more substantial underneath?

Never assume anything when it comes to women and clothing. The why and wherefore is simultaneously complicated and simple. A Zen koan as it were.

Several traumatic experiences on our local group ride inspired me to make this:
