Eddy Goldfarb...pretty cool gent and at 98, still churning out the ideas.

The man you'd like to have as your next door neighbor, in his garage with his tools, whistling and making stuff.

When I worked at Tonka Toys in the 80s we had our own “Eddy Goldfarb”.
He made a wind-up 1950s Ford pick-up that would wiggle and shed all of the fenders and body parts and then reassemble itself while it was rolling on the floor.
We also had the Zing Test for new toys that used an aluminum molding base and a 50’ rubber tube. Place truck in end of stretched tube and let go. Zing!
A very stressful business toy design but if you had the talent a good time.
