Large package International shipping?
Pretty OT here. I've shipped frames, wheels, etc. overseas and it's been "reasonable" in cost as it's been USPS. Looking at shipping some larger items (exceeds the USPS 108" but it would be less than 130" using the max. length+girth) and am not finding a reasonable way to get things shipped. It's all well north of $400. Looking at ebay there are folks shipping similar large items for around $150-200, what am I missing for an option on shipping?

I have had good experiences with TNT shipping. They're far more reasonable than USPS or UPS for international. I have used them for shipping race engines and car parts internationally.

I do not know what you are shipping or where to but I ran into a problem a while back when I was shipping a frame to Australia.
The shipping cost was going to be more than the cost of the frame. He found a re- shipping service in Florida where he set up an account. I shipped the frame to Florida and they shipped to him. I think they do LCL type shipping so that they get better pricing.
I have since found out there are similar services in California as well.
If you need me to, I will dig back and see if I can find the name of the service in Florida.

I'd looked at that but am outside their current service area.
