It's a clear bright night and the moon's enormous. Eclipse should start any time. I am so stoked.

ETA is after 11pm EST, yes?
Way too cloudy here right now. Hopefully it clears up.
Depends on location. The calculator I used said 10:20 for me and I'm 120 miles west of you so you should see it earlier, right?
Edit - that's for TTX1 in Boston.
It's like independence day coming down our street with all the families in camp chairs out in the driveways. Pretty neat to see. Moon's got a nice bruise on his right cheek already.
Yeah, it's clearly underway here in Western Mass. Retiring to my lawn chair with my binoculars.
Completely clear night here and I don't see a single other person out. Glad I noticed it or I would have completely forgotten.
Got to watch it so far poking in and out of partly cloudy skies. It is pretty magnificent!
shut out here...here's a pic of the Silver Diner instead
bummed, as this is likely the only 8-week period in my life I'll be living in a 10-story bldg.

Perfect night here.
Saw the full moon rise while the sun set on the beach... now the eclipse.
Great sky night!
That was phenomenal. I was looking at it through binoculars and at one point a shooting star went right by. Still gorgeous but I've got an early day tomorrow.
Perfect here in Chicago for the peak -- for 10 whole minutes before the clouds came back. Now it's clear again -- amazing. The Cubs fans don't even notice how cool it is. I live in a different world.
I'm gutted - got up at 4:30am this morning to watch the end of the world chumps (which was well worth doing), not realising that this wonderful event was just finishing in our perfectly clear Sydney skies around the same time.
Arse biscuits.
Some perfect viewing in the PacNW.

Got a great view from 30k feet last night on the way from CLT-GRR. No pics but it was great to see and all the pilots were talking about it. Sort of neat to have something different like that happen at work.
