"Again"...i need to pay more attention.

One that i'd love to go back because in hindsight, i wasn't prepared to appreciate all the music, was winterland in s.f. about 1970 or so. Savoy Brown was headlining and that's who we went to see, and there were two opening acts no one knew much about. we got a kick out of the name of the first band, not very creative, doobie brothers--hey man, what'll we call the band? i don't know, just pass me the...". They were followed up by this little three man band from texas...man they could make some noise for two guitars and a set of drums. i'll bet i didn't pay ten bucks for that ticket. those were different days.

I wish I could see U2 again, but not in 2015. Rather in 1982 or 1983 when they were making great music. I'd still like to see them in 2015, but today they're more of a nostalgia act playing a jukebox. I'm OK with that, but they're no longer creatively relevant and haven't been since Achtung Baby was released.

Cool! I really like Scott K's drumming on the Pere Ubu recordings he is on. is RFTT touring with this new lineup?

I dragged a friend to see the Meat Puppets once. They were horrible.

I still think MP II is a miracle, but that killed my desire to see them live.

No - you're good. There are 3 categories:

    1) Concerts you've heard (past)

    2) Concerts you're going to (future)

    3) Concerts you wish you could go to again (fantasy)

Jeremy Enigk, of Sunny Day played in Nashville a couple of weeks ago. Not Sunny, but oh Man did he kill it!

Short list: 400 years, StillLife, the Cure, Pixies, Inkwell, Blood for Blood, Mr. Bungle, and the one I never saw The Smiths, although I have seen morrissey a dozen times.
Still Life! Wow, that's a band I haven't thought about in a while. That's cool.

Would love to see Drive Like Jehu, Buffalo Tom, Catherine Wheel, Echobelly, Christie Front Drive, Into Another, and Sensefield again. There's just too many to mention.

Yes. They are recording new material as well. They toured Europe late last year.

There are plenty of bands that I would love to see again but I don't want to see the old guy/gal versions of the band. I loved going to see Hot Water Music but man have they sucked lately. Fugazi keeps coming up and although I would probably go see them I have the feeling that I am better off with the memories. When I see a band I want them ripping the songs out of their soul and throwing it at me.

For the record Drive Like Jehu is playing again. They will be at Riot Fest in Chicago. I'm not a big fest fan but this has me considering it.

I just came here to post that.

I saw them when I was an undergrad, and it was a completely stunning overwhelming experience. I'd never heard that much music being played at once.
    GO!
