When I was in Scouts knot tying was a big deal. Having ready ability to tie one rope onto another of different diameter or a proper bowline has served me well. Time flies and I really needed a good knot to make a secure loop in the middle of a 1/4" paracord that could be undone easily. The Alpine Butterfly loop is my new favorite knot.

It is amazing how fast I can forget how to tie a knot. I'm talking I just tied it 10 times, untied it and can't do it again.

I'm tying bowlines in my sleep!!! The Bowline on a Bight gave me a few fits until I realized it's all about how you finish the knot...teeth help.
