Default Farang -- Chef Andy Ricker and Pok Pok

Farang, the Story of Chef Andy Ricker - Trailer | VICE United States

Oddly, I didn't get a big kick out of the veggie food when I was there. But the meaty stuff looked pretty spectacular.

BTW, VICE has great films in general. You might not always get the whole picture, but you will get a lot of gritty detail about one aspect. Lotsa fun.

Pok Pok has a couple of dishes that have great, big flavors - fantastic if you like it - that go well with the milder ones. The trick is matching them.

Yeah Fresh Off the Boat with Eddie Huang can be hilarious. Love what Vice is doing.

Ricker caught my attention when I recently watched a Bourdain that had been sitting on my DVR for a few months. Wow! I am planning a trip to Portland for the sole purpose of eating at Pok Pok. I'm down to eat there twice daily for as long as I can take it.

Nong's Khao Man Gai and Sen Yai sound great too.
