    Default Top tube angle

I'm sure this has been asked before , although I haven't been
Able to find it in a search .
Do you build horizontal top tube frames horizontal or are they
Sloped half a degree or so ?
I've seen plenty of frames that look like the top tube slopes down
At the head tube . Is this just an optical elusion due to the saddle
Height ,or a build issue ?
    Regards
    Ross

Better to be ruined than to be silent atmo.

The angle doesn't matter, nor does it affect anything except the visual. It's all about connecting the dots. If a tube slopes up in the front, it connects the head tube at a higher spot and allows the rider a more upright range of positions. Conversely, if the tube connects low on the seat tube, the only difference will be the effective frame size, and that will include more seatpost length to make up for the choice. It's all pretty simple atmo.

The rider position is good , dots connected .
I just don't want the frame to give the illusion that
The top tube slopes down at the front .
The bikes Ive built have had a 6 degree slope so no issue
In the past . This is the first horizontal top tube build .

Many bikes are photographed supported at the rear wheel or axle, raising the back of the bikes slightly. If the front is not raised or the photo tilted, the bike may appear to have a downward slope.

There are of course bikes built with forward drop in the top tube.
