    Default Big round chainstays

Did I miss something Marceloish that's commercially available? I'm looking at putting together a frame with fatish pipes and wanna use round stays. Something like Kirk's JKS CS's are svelte with their larger than normal southern terminus, but those are understandably his proprietary deal.

Default If you are looking for

1.0" chain stays, True Temper has them. Talk about massive! We finally gave up on getting well designed 7/8" chain stays from Columbus or Reynolds when we lost Ishiwata as a supplier of custom tubing. So we had Reynolds make us a whole bunch of custom 7/8" chain stays from some of the last 531 plugs they had. They should last us until retirement. Yes, it is really hard to find well designed bicycle tubing. Ah, well.

I'd like something like this, too. ø22.2 big round chainstays, with a 100mm long swage down to ø15mm. Double butted 0.8/0.6 with the transition about a third of the way in, 450mm long.

That would make me tres happy.

Peter at Ceeway has: "...cromoly 22.2mm x 0.75mm single bend tapered to 14mm, approx 440mm"

I think 0.75 is preferable to 0.6 for Tig'ing to dropouts....

I have a shit load of the Serotta CSI chain stays with the reverse S-bend and pre-slotted & capped on the DO end. I don't remember where I got 'em but they're nice units.

These are supposed to be TT OX-Plat (straight @ 22mm). I'm assuming they were custom drawn for Lance because none of my usual TT sources have 'em.

Are you only looking for one set? If not, try calling the guys are Reynolds, they will custom make tubes in the 25-30 set range.
