so I told my sister-in-law who has been designing screen printed linen fabrics and she did a mock-up for kicks (hah! get it? kicks!)

Pretty snazzy I must say. What other companies are doing customs? Vans actually allows custom artwork to be uploaded, so that's pretty deluxe. But their shoe structure and durability is not amazing. Might have been once - but also my feet were more durable once too, so maybe that's the variable.

I have 4 pairs of custom designed Vans. A lot of fun over the stock models for not a ton extra. All using their stock colors and fabrics, though. I don't have a personal logo as cool as e-Richie's. Fit and comfort is pretty much identical to the stock models. No complaints. Well, other than the wait.

My wife and I decided to make some shoes for good friends who are Vans wearers. She's a gardener and he's a painter. I dug around in my photos and came up with asters from our yard and some photos I took of another friend's paint palette in her studio. Kind of fun to do. We'll see what they look like in about 3-5 weeks.

And yet people say that there are “supply chain” problems. Surely these must come all the way across the Pacific.
