Yesterday as I was flipping past the Classifieds to get to the Comics an ad for an estate sale caught my eye. "This will be one of the most precedented estate sales of the year!" Does that mean a lot of people died?

I think if they got the one word right, it would still be wrong because I think unprecedented is an absolute. I don't think you can be the most never known or done before.

Our kid has this shirt. Its a good litmus test. A quick smile from an adult and its a good sign. A question about why its funny or why we would allow our kid to wear the shirt and things get sad rapidly.

Not in Houston. They have had flooding every few years for known history and always call it unprecedented.

Or it means it's one of the least surprising estate sales of the year. Still an odd message, but the line to get into the sale will probably be long. Estate sale people will not be deterred ...

It might have just been a spelling error. Maybe they actually meant to say "This will be one of the most predecedented estate sales of the year.!"
