I'm thinking of doing this job in the driveway (gravel) instead of my workshop in the basement (where the bench vise is). It will probably be less trouble to set up a temporary clamping system out there than it would be to clean up the mess on the floor and workbench.

Great way to grow moss in your driveway! Moss seems to like sawdust, at least in my neck of the woods.
