Pretty sure it's going to be a shitshow in my neighborhood come Wednesday.
I sure hope you are wrong. But I may have to go get some beer myself.

I need some .243 Winchester for upcoming deer season.
There is not a single round of that or any other calibre available for sale, local or online.
I wonder where it all went?

Interesting. Not really a militia round.

These guys were in my neighborhood on Sunday. Zero local news coverage. Watching the video and reading the comments, I was tempted to deep dive into the dark corners (Facebook) where this stuff is fomenting.

Oh, they misidentified my town. Happy for that.

Vertical Doug. many thanks. VS is a terrific place for like minded people to share info. All I need now is a simple indoor static bike and I will be sorted for the lockdown and beyond. regards

FWIW, in 2016, Florida was called at 4:30 a.m our time. (11:30pm US EST). Florida is already counting mail-in ballots and they are trying to hit the same time frame as 2016.

My understanding of the new lockdown rules is we are allowed to cycle for exercise outside ( I suspect no rule of 6, just a rule of 1.). Obviously, loops in Battersea or Richmond will most likely be too crowded and avoided. My plan is usually leave while dark, London roads are absolutely empty at this time. By sunrise, I am either in Esher or Sunbury ahead of other cyclists. Once you are there, it's easy to avoid other people. I always have a mask in jersey pocket if it gets crowded but it never does where I ride except for Shere brownie stop.

The staff at Evans said they are considered part of TFL critical infrastructure and will remain open during lockdown. I suspect Sigma will also.

I plan to go to Harrod's food market today to treat myself to some really high end food before it closes- a version of a last supper...I'm thinking wagyu steaks and confit potatoes.

Oh well, off to help run the polling station for our town. Going to be a long day.

    Stay safe everyone. Go vote!

Walked over, got there at 5:40. Were 3rd and 4th in line. When the polls opened at 6am the lady in front of us muttered "Let's do this." The man behind us could have been right on the edge of politicking... wearing a Scientific American sweatshirt with "Truth Matters" printed on it. Leaving, went out the other side of the building but looking back you could see a line out into the parking lot. It is raining, windy and 33 degrees.

I gave the guy with the shirt a thumbs up out on the street.

Snowing here. My wife and I are voting in person in Hillsdale. Carpet baggers. Big race on the local level is town supervisor between someone who I know and like as a person and someone I don’t know but is qualified for the job and liked by others with a successful career as proof of effectiveness.

Voted this morning (lines for early voting were way too long) shortly after polls opened. Beautiful sunny albeit chilly morning. No line, darkened ovals, cast the ballot and then a bagel run. Could not have gone more efficiently.

It's going to warm up nicely today so a nice longish ride is in order.

I voted by mail weeks ago.

I am going to spend my day digging out an old basement with a mattock to help a friend who is restoring an old house. We had 4" snow overnight so riding in the woods might not be possible, and I need something to keep my mind occupied.

Voted via absentee and spent yesterday at the township clerk's office with 30+ others preparing absentee ballots to be processed today. We had over half of the voters in our township vote via absentee and 90% of those were in. The walk in voting was a steady stream, clerk said they had over 500 through yesterday. Here's to a blue Michigan.

Now a lovely day outside. Line was about 10 people long, but only because they were only allowing 2 people in the voting room at a time. No registration issues. All that was on an iPad, while the ballot was a scanned paper ballot. Overheard in line: "Hey Ted, how's your beaver?" In NYC, that might be a different conversation.

Can we have another virtual round of applause for volunteers at the polling sites? Locally, a polling volunteer had to explain state electioneering law to an angry Trump supporter. The volunteer patiently held his ground and respectfully had the voter remove his partisan attire before voting. The law applies to everyone, no Biden/Harris attire allowed either!
