There is no reason to check facts where this administration is concerned: there are none.

Cowardice is more contagious than Covid 19.

This is probably the most frustrating thing about blind followers like you. I would hazard a guess that nearly everyone here who is arguing against your positions in this thread would describe themselves as 'moderates', hell, some are probably even republicans. But yet you want to highlight the most extreme speech that no one here used ("He's Hitler!") as a way to poke holes in our logic. Kind of like when you suggested that I wished this virus and death on people the other day in response to something I posted in a different thread...I'm still waiting for an apology BTW, after I quoted you putting words in my mouth that I never said.

Until recently, it was at least at best mildly interesting to know that a minority of our country had elected a reality TV host as our president. Now it's a threat to life.

I, for one, would not want a guy whose leadership credentials seem to extend to paying off a hooker to keep her quiet (resulting in his lawyer going to the can) or lying about the size of a crowd, or abusing people on Twitter, or labelling a global pandemic fake news, anywhere near the controls of the ship of state.

Here in Oz we’ve got a happy clapping twit who thinks thoughts and prayers will suffice. Not good enough. We’re a couple of weeks behind here and now the clamps are coming on.

    Weird times. Weird thread.
Humans are capable of incredible weirdness and self protection mechanisms. Most egos are very fragile things. We are seeing an extension of ego protection. The more its threatened, the weirder the responses get. Its what trump does all of the time. ego threatened constantly, so throw out weird curveballs, toss out lies, let em sort it all out.

presidents should have to trip mushrooms at least once before entering office to learn how to let go of that ego.

That anyone can take the real anecdotes and still think the president is the one telling the truth to us is totally bonkers to me. Just go speak to anyone in healthcare for the reality, stop watching fox news FFS. Look at the doctor they put on TV face palm anytime the orange animatron tries to speak. its all lies and misinformation, its shocking he is allowed to get away with it, and that there are folks like bluebird here who still think hes not being fed turds for breakfast. or maybe some folks like to eat turds? i have no idea anyore.

I am sure America survives. I hope the administration is successful in slowing the virus in the next 15 days (day 6 BTW). I think everyone on this forum wants to see this thing through. But your jingoism is often contrary to facts and science. Give it a rest please.
it has to come form right wing nonsensical publications.. has to, nobody just thinks this. No sane human would ever compare him to lincoln, not that we actually had any idea what lincoln was actually like either. word is he was much more sober and thoughtful than the current dunce. hard not to be.

    and I did say Please.

Will you at least acknowledge that the 2% of men in there prime is worse + many maimed for life than the forecasts for covid19?
well, see, we all have our own issues, i would say global man influenced climate change is higher on the list than nuclear holocaust. Why do you think this disease exists? its not because we are in harmony and equilibrium with nature, i assure you that. But lets not grasp at straws.

But even if they did, who cares. If he's the great leader you claim he is, why would he care what people screech. Do you really think it's acceptable for him to trade lives for optics? I lead an organization at work and I'm a parent and if there's one thing I know for sure, it's that doing what is right trumps (see what I did there) being liked.

Either you think the WaPo is lying and Trump never had a warning. Or you think it's ok for him to sit on that information and do nothing because he's more concerned with his ratings and protecting his paper-thin skin. Or you really don't care because you're going to stump for Trump no matter what. So, which is it?
he will not answer your question, because he has to ignore these kinds of things to keep his illusion in tact. this is reality, and its inconvenient to the narrative.

If you haven't yet watch Gov Cuomo during his morning briefings on the situation in NY, he acts like a true leader should; no sugar coating, calm, factual, direct, real numbers, solid science based personal suggestions. I have little knowledge of the gov before this crisis but now he is acting as a leader should. Compared to him trump is the "village idiot"(my apologies to village idiots for the comparison).
What I fear, among other things, is the collapse of news media, the ones that seem to be giving us the real news/facts/situations(this does not include fox news, still praising trump).

And yes I am pissed with the fed admin's unbelievable incompetence handling this tragedy.

Now we just need all the Trump supporters to read it, believe it, internalize it, and use it as a reason to consider non-Fox news points of view. But, instead, it will be treated as the fake news ramblings of a bitter RINO lashing out to get a headline and promote a book.

The village idiot acts without malice, selfishness nor greed. He is but a simple idiot. If only Trump were a village idiot.

"read it, believe it, internalize it"
    Fat chance of that.

I guess when the "Sophie's Choice" of health care/ventilator rationing comes, priorities might be set.

our community is the same, still proudly defiant for the most part, however, word just spread about the first actual case, and all of the sudden some minds are changing as they are faced with actual reality instead of the crap they are fed to subdue them. amazing what happens when things get really real for real.
