Herr Stephen "Goebbels" Miller now tests positive for Covid. I don't know if he was at "No Roses Left" Garden super spreader event. His wife had it earlier this summer. She has some job(aid to Pence?) in the administration and is bitching at Kamala for wanting the plexiglass shield during the debates. But like tRump says, don't let Covid dominate your lives.

Is nominee Covid Amy case #1 at this event and spread it to everybody there?

of course it remains to be seen, maybe another week, but if you read the phase 2 results released for the Regeneron polyclonal antibody trial, it did very well with high viral load cases, and it appears the viral load and/or virulence of the rose-garden-etc event spreader was impressive. I think he should be forever thankful he had access to that drug, when 211,000 did not, because how quickly they put him on EVERYTHING that has any evidence of working, to me, says it was serious (along with refusal to release results of imaging etc). In that Regeneron trial the average age I think was 44, so they haven't really tested it with any significant numbers at the truly vulnerable age group. I'm hoping phase 3 goes well, and they can get it approved and out to the hundreds of thousands that will be needing it.

Good Morning. The weather today: clear with occasional COVID19 infections.

    W.H. body count is 18 (10/7/20).

USA body count (dead) is 211,000

More people tested positive for COVID19 in the W.H. alone than entire countries.

And then this from what is wrong with the what is wrong with America files....(in a summary from Ad Age this morning)...

    « Trump’s coronavirus coin

As President Trump recuperates from coronavirus in the White House, his team is already on the case with merch. As Ad Age’s Ilyse Liffreing reports, on Tuesday the White House began selling a commemorative coin as part of its “Historic moments in history” collection to honor Trump’s recovery. Although photos aren’t available yet, the White House Gift Shop webpage, where the coin can be preordered for $100, describes it as a limited edition "Trump defeats Covid" coin featuring icons of Trump (most likely without mask) and members of his first team.

While the coin won't ship till after the election, as Liffreing writes, it’s a good example of the role online merchandise is playing in this year’s campaigns for both Trump and Biden. Among the products on offer: “Babies for Trump” onesies, and Biden T-shirts that read “I paid more income taxes than Donald Trump.” »

Looks like the SCOTUS is helping Lindsey Graham in SC. They need all the help that they can get.

    So many examples of both-sidesism.

“tRump defeats Covid” and “Babies for tRump” are lies.

“I paid more taxes than Donald tRump” is probably true.

The naked efforts at voter suppression by Republican officials, and implicit support by the social conservative electorate, is astonishing; don't anybody in that population dare tell me that you support democratic institutions or the Constitution.

We haven't even gotten to the good stuff yet. Wait till Republican legislative bodies in States decide to ignore the election tally because it is tainted and send electoral delegates for Trump . . .

If there's any tort claim, it's probably arising from negligence and not an affirmative act. And that would only be people infected after the President knew his condition but before it was made public. I can't imagine anyone working in the White House actually suing. Although family members may later decide to file a wrongful death suit if circumstances support it.

It's highly unlikely anyone is charged with a crime, even knowing they are infected/contagious, unlike HIV. Breathing is involuntary, sexual contact is voluntary. If an infected person spits, etc. all bets are off.

I feel this is the story I have not seen told: What happens when the most powerful have access to the best care in the world. He literally went in on a Friday, and was released on a Monday.

If that's not a case for how out of balance our health care system truly is, how desperately it needs an overhual, and where those at the top have access because of their wealth, power and position while the rest of the U.S. suffers... then I don't know what is.
