So he is unquestionably on dexamethasone, and based on his behavior it's very likely to be a high dose. The fact that the doctors won't say if there is lung damage seems like an admission that there is damage. I think, based on what I've read, that it's not wise to maintain the dexamethasone for extended periods, and doing so would result in facial puffiness to an extent that he can't accept because of what it would do to his image.

For those of you who are physicians, does it seem even possible for him to be in situations where he has to stand and talk for long periods, as in debates and rallys? I'm sure we will know the answer soon, but I'm curious.

I'm asking this separate from the possibility of a major downturn, which seems very possible anyway. Would trying to put on displays of strength and vigor accentuate the possibility of a major downturn?

I realize this isn't a medical forum, but a number of people have posted things indicating that they are active physicians and know quite a lot about this.
