I don't recall any of them being mentioned, but curated is a good one, the use of which makes one look like a bore.

Bespoke and artisanal / handmade have been abused and misused so much, sometimes deliberately, sometimes as a result of ignorance. It's probably inevitable in an increasingly dumbed down world, but it does make me sad.

    Yeah yeah...

It's possibly common in other locals but here it is not, so it comes across as contrived and forced. Robotic greetings/service from retail employees who received and follow the memo is killing us all.

Well, better than them saying "Come inside" because you know what I have to say in response. Think Rocky Horror...

Fresh off a conference call with a bunch new engineers...

...and I will be enforcing the mute button on the next m'fer that says 'granular level' on the next call.

If the process is more important than the result, you play. If the result is more important than the process, you work.

You'll have to do a deep dive to get there!

I edited the term “flesh out” five times from someone’s presentation draft this morning…I was really tempted to insert flesh eating bacteria on one of the slides, but I like the guy.

I understand what "flesh out" means but where the heck did that term come from? It sounds gross.

I have a particular, perhaps irrational hatred of phrases that add nothing whatsoever. I've already pointed out "going forward." Unless time travel is a thing, yep, that thing we're talking about doing is definitely going to take place in the future.

And recently I've been seeing a lot of "please advise" at the end of a question. "Would you like to meet on Wednesday at 2 or 3? Please advise."

    Grrrrr..........

    "hack" (shortcut to some outcome)
"what should I expect" (if I do something)

    “Going forward” is odious.
