product shipments, and pushing back new product introductions by months. There are tire factories at half capacity, others are pretty much idle.
Some cycling clothing supply chain vendors are still shut from before the CNY. Our suppliers in Taiwan don't want this to happen if they can avoid it,
since so many vendors flow through their ports, they want to keep things moving. But they did cancel the Taipei show for March, and there is
a reluctance to travel to Asia by many bike industry companies. It would be even worse if so many bike assemblers hadn't relocated to Vietnam,
Cambodia, and Thailand from China in the last year or two.

My wife arrived home from Paris last night, landing at JFK and saw no evidence of any sort of screening for corona virus whatsoever. Nothing different than any other trip back home from Europe.

I assume flights from countries that are officially on quarantine lists may experience a different reception, but I have no way of knowing either way.

I am watching Japan closely. For as diligent and clean the Japanese public is, the virus continues to spread on secondary infections. It seems inevitable.
Despite the complaints and innuendos throughout this thread about a lack of government response, the healthcare and industry response has been remarkably quick. The highlighted above is rapidly changing (as in hour to hour). Without too much detail, things are rapidly changing and the CDC/FDA quickly enacted emergency measures to allow for rapid creation of such tests without a lot of red tape. The CDC has admittedly struggled a bit with their test, but they aren’t the only one developing (and currently) able to test for COVID19. I think the CDC has now corrected their test.

Considering this virus popped up in the last 3’ish months, we’ve moved pretty quickly.

I struggle to see this being any more taxing on hospitals than the current respiratory illnesses in circulation.

Living in a city that mainly live of tourism, and that apparently already had an infected chinese man visting it, I tend to now be jaded and to accept the fact that I will be infected at some point.

And I just can't stop going out and party every week for how many fucking months ?

There is a part of me that says my risk of dying was higher this morning when a young woman with eyes on her phone texting and no hands on the steering wheel passed me on the road at 9 am then from C19.

Everything is relative. But, reading about the care home in Washington State will potentially infected residents is incredibly sad.

His comments about production/distribution of cure(s) is important as are his focus on African and Asian countries where there are far and few between resources compared to say the USA/France/Germany etc.

My sense is wishing for Covid19 creates bad karma and negative energy. Pray for our researchers and medical professionals.

Today at Costco, they were sold out of salmon. i've never seen the salmon area anything but filled to the top. There was maybe 2 chickens left. Also unheard of. The fresh food walk-in was 3/4 empty. Even before a snow storm, I've never seen shelves that bare. A manager said a truck was late that is never late and he has no idea when its arriving while blaming Covid19. He said canned foods are sold out as are wipes and water. Are people preparing for a month long shut-in quarantine? It seems some people are getting a little nutty.

I hear people talking about school closures in the next 2 weeks. I didn't think we are there or even close. Am I missing something?

I wonder if instead of trying to avoid it healthy people should infect themselves on purpose, as full families and within a quarantine period negociated with their employees and healthcare so that not everybody get sick at the same time.

I may have to drop back 50 ft to blow my nose into the wind.
In a strong headwind, perhaps a half mile.
I better ask about the post ride beer meet up before the ride sets out.
